Saban to adapt Kyoruger into Power Rangers Dino Charge in 2015
Go-Busters unlikely to be adapted.Even though the 2014 version of Power Rangers hasn’t arrived yet, we already know what will happen in 2015. As reported by USA Today, Saban will be adapting Zyuden Sentai Kyoruger into Power Rangers Dino Charge, the third dinosaur-themed sentai to come to American shores. Kyoruger is in the process of concluding in Japan and giving way to Ressha Sentai To-Q-ger (yes, we initially spelled it incorrectly, as did everyone else). If things keep form, Dino Charge will start about when TQG ends, restored the approximate year gap between PR and sentai that was common in years past.
The one unfortunate side effect, and one that is likely going to annoy a not insignificant amount of people, is that in all likelihood, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, the sentai between Gokaiger (which will premiere here as Super Mega Force this Saturday) and Kyoruger, will not be adapted at all, making it the first sentai to be completely passed over since Power Rangers began. There are plenty of reasons to do this, some more logical than others, but it is still a rather disappointing turn of events. In the end, though, this is still a business, and having Dino Charge in 2015 allows for catch-up by Saban as they try to fully restore the Power Rangers brand.
