OTDT Roundabout 11 May 2015

All the otaku news only a mother would love. And her spouse. And her children. And all her other relatives…

-We like American Ninja Warrior around these here parts. Will we like the team version of American Ninja Warrior? Maybe. (Also, Hometown Cred Points for a series on Western PA football. It’s not Texas, but still…)

-It looks like Kamen Rider Drive‘s team-up with Mercedes Benz is also teaming up with TRON. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

-As much as noted sadist Beat Takeshi doesn’t like anime, he knows why it’s popular movie fodder, and he’s right.

-Speaking of nerd properties on film, here’s an optimistic thinkpiece about the playing-card construction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

-According to this story, pro gamers spend about 12 hours a day practicing, and then another 2-3 hours scratching their sponsors’ backs.

-Finally, while discussing his new Justice League series with Polygon, Lord of 90’s animation Bruce Timm thinks the new Harley Quinn is all right at first glance. Here’s hoping.

If you’re a true 90’s kid, or even if you aren’t, you’ll care about this sampling from OTDT’s past week.

That’s all from last week. Enjoy this one.
